The Estimator/Quoting Representative

Responsible for the pricing, quotation, and customer care practices of Poland Steel grain handling equipment products, providing customer information to new and existing clients.


Essential Job Functions:

  • Assist with retail counter sales for Poland Steel inventory.
  • Develop an intimate understanding and execution of the quoting/costing platforms provided through factory representation and the Poland Steel customer quoting and tracking processes.
  • Assist with inbound and outbound customer calls.
  • Assist with receiving orders into the bookkeeping software upon receipt of the same.
  • Prepare and deliver quotations for customer orders sold through Poland Steel.
  • Prepare estimates based on manufacturer quotations and pricing models established by management.
  • Maintain a clean, presentable work environment in your work area.
  • Working closely with management to ensure all margins, structure, tracking methods, etc., are present to provide timely, thorough, and professional practices.
  • Provide documented communication mailings, calls, or emails to customers for projects, per the customer care checklist. 
  • Contact service contractors to arrange quote information as appropriate for estimates and proposals.
  • Assure thorough and complete documentation in Poland Steel CRM tools.
  • Resolve customer issues in a professional and timely manner.
  • Build strong professional relationships and establish trust and rapport with customers.
  • Assist with business networking events and trade shows in our market area.
  • Collaborate with the management team to help identify tracking and inventory methods and strategies.
  • Represent Poland Steel professionally and respectfully.
  • Continually communicate with the appropriate Poland Steel staff to comply with all practices, including invoicing, proposals, credit card statements, vehicle/license compliance, etc.
  • All other duties assigned.


Qualifications:

  • Strong understanding of Microsoft Excel preferred.
  • Solid communication skills.
  • Experience in agricultural and or grain bins and associated equipment preferred.
  • Ability to work independently and be creative.
  • Must show organizational and communication skills in routine.

Millright General Labor

We are seeking a dedicated Grain Systems Millwright Laborer to join our team. These employees will assist in the fabrication and assembly of various agriculture grain handling systems, grain handling equipment tear down, crane work, and various power equipment work in various tasks to ensure projects are completed efficiently and on time.


Responsibilities:

  • Assist with the setup and cleanup of work sites.
  • Load and unload materials, tools, and equipment.
  • Operate hand and power tools, and equipment.
  • Operate on platforms or ladders safely at heights above 50 feet.
  • Climb, and carry equipment, parts, and assemblies to installation at various locations on or above existing structures.
  • Weld, operate company vehicles with trailers, operate various construction equipment.


Skills:

  • Ability to lift heavy objects and work in physically demanding environments.
  • Basic knowledge of fabrication tools and equipment.
  • Strong work ethic and willingness to learn on the job.
  • Good communication skills to follow instructions accurately.
