Corrugated Steel Sidewalls
- Sidewalls are created from high-quality 20 through 8-gauge galvanized steel with tensile strength up to 70 ksi (483 MPa) for increased load capacities.
- 4.714" (11.97 cm) peak-to-peak corrugation of sidewalls is 3/4" (1.905 cm) wider than those of the closest competition, reducing the chance for material to collect on the inner walls.
- Chief's 42.5" (107.7 cm) sidewalls increase load capacities and require less hardware than the 32" (81.28 cm) sidewall sections of competing bins.
- The sidewall steel has a G115 (350g/m2) galvanized coating that provides over 28% more corrosion resistance than the G90 (275g/m2) industry standard.

Anchor System Provides a Sturdy Foundation
Robustly securing the stiffeners and sidewalls to the base, Chief's stiffened and unstiffened farm bins offer formidable protection against sideways forces and uplift. Chief presents two variations of the anchor system, tailored to the bin's size.
Stiffened Farm Bins Provide Better Strength
Chief's Stiffened bins showcase distinctive exterior "W" stiffeners, specifically engineered to withstand nearly twice the weight of alternative stiffener designs. These "W" stiffeners are designed to handle vertical loads, granting added durability that permits sidewall heights surpassing 100 feet (30.48 m). Moreover, they enable our bins to effortlessly accommodate overhead catwalks and conveyors.
Plate-to-plate connections ensure effective load transfer along the stiffener column, eliminating the need for intricate shear-loading splicing. The exceptional "W" stiffeners on the bin's exterior also serve to prevent grain accumulation on the interior walls.

Chief V-Rib Roof
Chief's V-Rib roof design surpasses leading competitors by incorporating over 30% more roof ribs. This results in an exceptionally strong cover for smaller bins that lack a structured roof. The V-Rib roofs for grain bins up to 27'10" (8.5 m) in diameter have a depth of 2.5" (6.35 cm), while bins ranging from 30'11" (9.4 m) to 49'6" (15.1 m) in diameter feature a rib depth of 4" (10.16 cm). These V-Rib roofs are constructed from the same G140 high-quality galvanized steel as our commercial roof.

Each vent is designed for effortless installation and incorporates features to reduce the accumulation of ice and foreign objects. Secure Door Access Options
Chief presents a selection of door options including one-ring double-portal frame doors and two-ring walk-thru doors. These door frames are coated with a galvanized finish to ensure exceptional protection against corrosion.
One-Ring Doors
A one-ring frame door measures 26" (0.66m) wide by 38" (0.96m) high. Bins that are stiffened to meet the standard.
Two-Ring Doors
The large "easy walk" door measures 26" (0.66m) wide by 62" (1.57m). A person can move through the door without fear of catching obstructions because there are no brackets or hooks attached to the frame.
Convenient Latch System
The easy latch system on the inside and outside panels allows entry without the use of tools. A lockable outside cover secures the contents and prevents unauthorized access.
Roof Stairs
With Chief bins, access to the bin's middle and peak is safer and more convenient with handrails.
Padlocked Ladder Access
Ladders with this optional safety feature are protected against unauthorized access.

Commercial Bins
Offering a peak load capacity of 50,000 pounds (22,680 kg) on Chief’s Larger Bins. Chief provides a wide range of standard and optional roofs to meet your specific peak load capacity requirements and handle snow loads in your region. A 50K roof is optional for CB30 and CB34 bins, which can increase peak load capacity to 50,000 pounds (22,680 kilograms).
Peak Loads May Not Need Additional Support
A 50k roof may not require an additional support tower or catwalk if peak loads are low. Most conveyors with a capacity of 60,000 BPH (1,524 MTH) can be supported by 50K roofs with a 6' (1.82m) or 12' (3.65m) peak ring. As a result, there is no need to span a catwalk/truss across the bin roof and install an additional support tower and catwalk.
Promote Faster Fill Times With 50K Roofs
Using a 50K roof with a 12' (3.65m) peak ring will allow you to fill containers faster with larger capacity conveyors.
Grain Entrapment Prevention
There are anchorage points at the bin peak and manhole on all Chief bins, so anyone entering the bin can tie off.

Chief manufactures premium corrugated steel sidewalls with a formidable tensile strength of 70 ksi (483 MPa). These sidewalls are equipped with 5/16- and 7/16-inch grade 8 bolts, accompanied by conical sealing washers and serrated flange nuts.
To ensure long-lasting durability, Chief incorporates specific coating and adheres to stringent standards when designing their bins.

Get Easy Access to Doors
Chief provides convenient access doors that come in two options: one-ring double-portal frame doors or two-ring walk-thru doors. Both types are equipped with an effortless latch system, allowing for unimpeded entry without the need to remove cross ties, tie rods, or tie bars.
The dimensions of the one-ring door are 26" (0.66 cm) in width and 26" (0.66 cm) in height, while the walk-thru doors measure 26" (0.66 cm) wide and 50" (1.27 m) tall. To ensure exceptional resistance against corrosion, the door frames are subjected to a hot dip galvanization process.
Bobcat Door With Drive-in Option
The door, which offers great convenience, has dimensions of 7'1" (2.164m) in width and 8'8" (2.68m) in height. To ensure exceptional resistance against corrosion, the door undergoes a hot dip galvanization process.

Side Draw Design Boosts Strength and Unload Speeds
Chief offers an innovative side draw system that enables the establishment of efficient load-out stations for various purposes, including truck, rail, or any other specific load-out requirements. These stations can handle capacities of up to 40,000 bushels per hour (1020 MT/H).
The newly introduced side draw system by Chief enhances the structural integrity of the bin wall while effectively channeling the grain from the ceiling to the side draw discharge opening. The inclusion of intake openings also aids in redistributing the grain, discouraging bridging issues.
To cater to different needs, Chief provides three different sizes of the side draw system. The bushel per hour capacity mentioned is based on test results conducted using runs of #2-grade corn.

Roof Inspection Door Accessible From Eave Platform

Chief Agri Division's commercial hopper tanks deliver the same remarkable ease of installation and unmatched strength as the Chief commercial grain bin line. Crafted with top-grade materials, these tanks ensure long-term dependability and meet the high standards of satisfaction that Chief is known for.
- The exclusive Chief exterior “W” stiffener is almost twice as strong as the closest competing stiffener.
- Chief commercial hopper tanks utilize a standard painted or optional hot-dipped galvanized substructure with welded legs and ring beams. A “Super Structure” is available for use in drive-under applications.
- G140 (450 g/m2) galvanized coating is standard on all roof panels, sidewalls, and stiffeners for superior corrosion resistance.
- Utilizing a four-panel per sidewall sheet design, the "V" rib roof provides standard peak load capacities of 3000 to 7500 lbs. (1364 to 3409 kg.).
- A 45º bottom hopper cone and a 16" (40.64 cm) discharge opening are standard with Chief commercial hopper tanks.
- Chief hopper tanks are backed by a 5-year limited warranty and are one of the strongest names in the industry.
Medium-Duty Hopper Tank
- Standard V-Rib Roof Design - Chief's V-Rib roof design incorporates over 30% more ribs compared to leading competitors. This abundance of ribs ensures exceptional strength for smaller bins that lack a structured roof, providing a robust and reliable cover.
- Legs - Leverage the strength of Chief's W stiffeners with three legs per sidewall sheet for MDHT 5, 6, and 7 models. These legs are securely attached using grade 8, 7/16" (11.11mm) hardware. Additionally, formed angle bracing is employed for hopper and leg support.
- Hopper - Hopper panels are attached directly to the sidewall sheets.
Round head bolts are used on the hopper seams to minimize material hang-up.
Hopper sheet horizontal seams have an offset to minimize material hang-up.
Optional hopper access door available. - Sidewalls - Chief's standard sidewall sheets are 116.625" (2962.275 mm) long, which provides more capacity when compared to a bin with 112.5" (2857.5 mm) long sheets. Chief's 4.7" (119.38 mm) wide corrugation minimizes material hang-up on the walls. Chief's 42.5" (1079.5 mm) tall sheets require less fasteners compared to 32" (812.8 mm) tall sheets. All Chief vertical sidewall seams have two full rows of fasteners allowing for better sealing. Sheets with up to 70 ksi tensile strength steel. G115 (350 g/m2) galvanizing for stiffener and sidewall sheets and G140 (450 g/m2) roof sheet galvanizing.

They are well-suited for storing a variety of materials, including feed ingredients, grains, aggregates, fertilizers, and other dry bulk substances.
Chief Lemanco storage systems can be flexibly designed to meet equipment loading requirements. This can be accomplished either by locating the equipment above the bin roof or on the mezzanine floors within the main support structure.

Strength and Toughness
- Chief Lemanco storage systems can store dry bulk materials with densities up to 150 lbs/ft³ (2403 kgs/m³).
- Bin components are 35% stronger than industry standards due to the use of high-strength steel (50ksi yield strength) vs. commercial-grade steel (36ksi yield strength).
- Durability is increased by 25% for interior and exterior bin components using a G115 (1.15oz/ft2 = 2 mil thickness) zinc coating vs. a G90 (0.90oz.ft2 = 1.5 mill thickness) zinc coating.
- Hoppers are painted steel. Galvanized roof sheets are standard.
- The profile of the exterior horizontal stiffeners has a 60-degree slope for increased strength and a cleaner surface area.

Bin Systems We Offer
- Standard manways are vented (including filter media and bird screens) and made of galvanized steel.

- Standard hoppers have a 60-degree slope and internal corner chamfers. Chief welded hoppers do not require field assembly.
- Structural steel supports are designed to meet seismic categories and wind loading per IBC 2012. All structural members are fully coated A325 fasteners are included.
- Standard adaptors are 2-to-1 and/or 4-to-1, welded and coated with gray enamel on the exterior and linseed oil on the interior.
- Standard suspended weigh hoppers come in 6'(1.83m), 7'(2.13m), or 8'(2.44m) sizes with flare tops or header boxes/covers, including canvas connectors and vents with filters. Support frame, shafts, wheels, and drive package are provided for weighing lorries. The exterior is coated with gray enamel and the interior with linseed oil.
